The Steel City Blades practice at the RMU Island Sports Center on late Sunday afternoons, from September 2012 – March 2013. The Steel City Blades Competitive & Junior Competitive Teams practice two additional Tuesday late afternoons per month, plus one or two Saturday mornings per month when necessary.
Summer Program Choreography "Boot Camp"
Below are the dates for the summer "boot camp" when Vicki will be in town to create the Teams' programs. All skaters who are team members must attend these dates since Vicki will be in to teach the programs for the 2012-13 season. It is very important that she have all skaters on the ice at the same time. This is just a heads up if you plan on joining the teams after tryout results are announced. (Designated Team Times will be announced after tryouts but all skaters will need to be present on the listed dates)

Saturday, August 4: 8:00 - 10:50 AM & 1:00 - 4:50 PM
Sunday, August 5: 9:00 - 10:50 AM & 1:00 - 4:50 PM
Monday, August 6: 4:00 - 5:50 PM
Tuesday, August 7: 4:00 - 6:50 PM
Wednesday, August 8: 4:00- 6:50 PM
Exhibitions and Competitions
The Steel City Blades Teams attend 5 - 6 competitions during the synchronized skating season. The Team skaters & their families travel to competitions in PA, Ohio, Michigan & New York. They will attend the 2013 Eastern Sectional Championships to be held in Lake Placid, NY in February.
The SCB Team also participate in the RMU ISC Holiday Skating Show, Shamrock Skate and various exhibitions during the synchronized skating season to help them prepare for their competition events.
